Greenwood Annual Report 2016/2017 7 4 Enhance our Student Adviser Program We made the connection between adviser and character development more explicit by developing new adviser reports which were piloted in the spring with Grade 11 students. These reports provide students and parents with a detailed understanding of how a student is progressing in each of the four pillars of character. We also supported the delivery of advisory services through increased professional development for advisers. Our Grade 9 and 10 students continued to use Google+ to develop their individual portfolios. Educate our Community on the Core Principles of Well-Being Throughout the year we focused on finding ways for students to be both active and mindful. Our new facilities allowed for more lunch-time recreational activities, such as three on three basketball and yoga. The school launched a Jack Chapter, which worked throughout the year to raise awareness around a range of emotional and mental health issues. Lunch hour social clubs for girls were expanded and a similar social opportunity was introduced for boys. We also expanded student access to counselling for social and emotional issues. 5
