On Monday night the counselors were appointed and were
introduced to the school on tho following night, after taking their pledge.
Lee, C., R. Tayloe, and Lowndes have 1·eturned to school after a year's absence, and were welcomed by overy one.
On Tuesday, the 20th, the football candidates were called out by Coach Branham, and a large sqnad reported for prac-
tice.
On the same night the G. A. A. and Hop Committees were
elected, with the following result:
Hop Committee: Loth, Pierce, and S. Wilson.
G. A. A. Officers: J. E. Loth, President; W. R. Lee, Vice-
President; R. R. Pierce, Treasurer; S. A. Buckner, Secre- tary.
After these committees had been chosen, the Cheer Lead- ers were appointed. The same two boys who served so cap-
ably last year in that capacity were reelected.
On Friday night, September 23d, tho lliETEOR Staff met
and elected Douglas 11. Braxton Literary Editor to succeed C. B. Shipp, who bad not returned.
On the night of the 27th the Dramatic ciub met and elected the following officers: W. S. Wilson, President; G. W. Darst, Vice-President; J. Hitchcock, 1\1anager; R. Beas- ley and F. Blackstone, Assistant 1\Ianagers; Mr. R. W.
}lfattfield, Faculty Adviser.
The next day there was a Dramatic Club meeting of im-
portance, when the play to be held was finally chosen, and the date fixed for its performance. The play picked is called "Senepes," and is a comedy drama in three acts. This is the main play and will be preceded by a one-act play under the
title of ":Mrs. Pat and the Law." The performance will take placo on the night of December 3d in the gymnasium.
