He looked at his wntch; he still had forty minntes before he passed into the Gre;lt Beyond. He thonght of past sins committed and of his future life. Perhaps the Impish One would let him shoYel coal; or would he have to feed the flames himself? Tic nnniuated in this strain for, it seemed to him, hours. He looked at !tis watch. Ten more minutes! IIe felt somethiug cold "·andcr down his check. Ile put his hand to l1is face. It was perspiration, but quite different from the kind he lu1d bad a little \vhile before. Time slipped by. Tic again looked at bis'watch and lo! it was ten minutes past the time set for the explosion. ITe glanced at the suitcase which seemed to eye him ominously, and wondered what the trouble was. One feeling he did experience-relief. Tic waited a little longer aBel then cautiont;ly opened the satcheL What he saw filled him with greTav- haired man sitting behind it. He beard this little gray-h~ir;d man murmur: "What's the charge, officer~"
To which the latter replied: "Drunk, yer honor."
