On April 23d, Roanoke wns the scene of a triumph for the Track Team, when they administerrcl defeat to the Roa- noke High School Athletes, Y. E. S. winning by a margin of 2 points in the interesting score of Gl % to 501/2. The meet wasYerycloseandspectacularthroughout. Watkins,ofRoa-
noke, took 4 first places, and also placed in other c\·cnts. We took first, second and fourth in the mile run and all four places in the half-mile, Adkins taking first in both 1·accs. Buckner took first in the high j1m1p and pole yanlt and second in the broad jump, scoring 13 of onr points.
