"Bob, what do ~·ou think he could be doing with this telescope up here?"
"To S:l\'C m.v soul l don't know; let's look through it."
Upon looking through the telescope, Bob silw a villuge with people moving around, and as he looked a little closer, he saw that the people looked strangely familiar. He did not have a chance to look very lo11g however, for Dabney pushed him aside in his haste to look through the mysterious telescope for himself.
He had not looked long before he exclaimed, "I don't understand this; these people are certainly familiar. Why, this is Squedonk I This is a periscope and not a telescope; a glass must have slipped in the end of the barrel."
Upon opening the barrel, they saw that they were right and that Dr. Branham had been looking at Squcdonk instead of at Mars.
"I'll bet Dr. Branham thought he had something great, thinking that he was seeing :?liars," said Bob; "if he had only looked in the end of the telescope, he might not have gotten so excited."
