Rev. S. J. Hutton, who is chaplain at Gilman Country School, paid us a call on the 1Oth of April. Mr. Hutton is deeply interested in school work, and in this connection has taken a year at Cambridge in addi- tion to a post-graduate course in New York. He is· considering the
chaplain's position here next year, which is open because of i\Ir. Baker's call to Baton Rouge.

quartet pushed the veteran up the hill from the railroad bridge to get some more gas, hut the station was closed. Finally they got some of the preciou. fluid, and four tired, worn- out boys reached their alma mater at half-past eleYen. After such
trials, one might expect the heroes to receive a warm \l'elcome, but the au- thorities thought differently, and the
only reward was fiye demerits for each of the unfortunates.
