METEORITES ASK GRANDDAD-HE KNOWS
Gleanings from Past "Meteors"
Mr. Ladd (in history) : "Spruill,
what was Lincoln's Gettysburg Ad-
dress?"
i:lpruill: ''You can't fool me. He
nerer lived there."
::\Iidnight: ·'Ah clone heard dat
dey found Columbus' bones." •
Early morning: ''Laird! Ah never knew that he was' a gambling man."
Mason, R.; "Would you rather kiss me or walk ?''
i:lhe: "You know l hal'e a sprain- ed ankle."
'
08ky took his girl to a Ly11chburg drug store. She was enj oying her
weekly treat of an ice cream soda when her straw became bent.
"Hey," she yelled at the clerk, "my sucker's broke."
Osky's face flushed a little. "Gosh darn it! How'd you know I was?"
::\Ir. ::\lattfielcl: " When I get mar- ried I'm going to get a girl who can
take a joke.''
::\loyler: "Don't worry, that's the
only kind you can get."
i:lhe was a freshman from Sweet Briar. "Oh clear," she sighed, "I simply can't adjust my curriculum."
"It doesn't show any," he assured her blushingly.

SPRING FEVER
I just don't feel like getting up,
Xor moving when I do.
I scarcely can get clown to meals;
I've lost the pep to chew.
My lessons·don't excite me much ;
l\ly profs still less, I fear- For you see I've got spring fever
And I just can't persevere. I try to write term papers,
But my pen will scarcely crawl ; Why, I ha1·en't felt so languid
