SOCIAL CASTES IN V. E. S.
A caste is usually thought of as
being an hereditary social class of they are continually in .the lime- ~!
society in India. While I am not so certain as to its heredity, I am sure the term may Le easily applied to V. E. S. Not merely one caste or class, but several may be found. I would classify them in seven groups. These, generally speaking, are: imbecile, adherents of the pre- historic ages or cave-diggers, the ci- gar gang, a mid-way class, the an- onymous sex, athletes, and intellec- tuals.
I shall not attempt to make any definite classification for I think the castes themselves intimate the types which fall under their heads.
