CLEMENS HEAD COUNSELOR
Randolph and Hanff Complete Trio With Clemens to Make Honor Committee
At the end of each school year the student body of the Virginia Episcopal School assembles in study hall to vote for boys whom they want to be counselors for the next. year. It is not a specific requirement, but generally the boys voted for have completed at least two full years school at V. E. S. The old counselors who are coming back are not voted for as they keep their
position from one year to the next. There are generally about ten of these boys who come back,
therefore, from among the boys who get the most votes the Faculty and Rector choose the boys to fill the vacancies in the Counselor body.
Counselor Body Smaller
This vea on account of a slight decrease in school the Counselor body was reduced from the usual twenty to eighteen. Of this number seven were Counselors last year, while eleven fill this position for th~
first time.
From among the Counselors three
boys are chosen to compose the Honor Committee. This Honor

FOOTBALL PROSPECTS LOOK GOOD FOR 1931
Five Lettermen Return to Coach Costolo for First Practice
Football prospects' for the coming season are very good in view·of the fact that five letter men from the 1930 team returned to school and
also the return of several 1930 squadmen has strengthened the team. Three of the letter men played line positions last year and the
others were backs.
The schedule for the season is harder than usual as it contains not only Woodberry, Episcopal High, D. M. 1., St. Christopher's, R. M. A., Charlottesville High and Shen- andoah Valley Academy, but also
