Unusually Large Number Report For Junior Squads THE HONOR SYSTEM
The lightest football team of V. E. S., the boys' team, started prac- tice a few weeks ago with twenty prospects reporting for the first workout. This is the largest squad
in many years. Since then four more have reported, but three of the original players were lost due to overweight, and so the squad now stands at twenty-one.
This 120-pound team seems to have a very good chance of winning the city championship, with eight veterans returning. These are Char-
lie Carrington, Buster Nelson, An- dreae Hodgson, and Bruner Tucker, all of whom play in the backfield, and Robin Abernathy, Bob Stewart, "Sonny" Mahone, and Parker Neff
in the line. Charlie Carrington and Buster Nelson, first string ends for the last two years, have been shifted
to the backfield, while Andreae Hodgson returns to his last year's position at fullback. Bruner Tucker has also been shifted from the line into the backfield, but might not see
