Your letter come quite o while ego, but
when it come, I suddenly found out that I could go to Switzerland, end in the rush of getting reedy, I didn't hove time to do any- thing but put the letter in my bog end hope thot I might find time to answer it, ond I finally did, olthough it is Iota.
I left for Switzerlond lost August 25th. We left Gorizio about I0:00, caught the train to Verona lltoly), there changed to o swell streamlined cor, which took us in to Milon, where we were processed, etc., for our Swiss tour. We stayed in Milan overnight, then left the next morning for the Swiss border, where our boggoge, uniforms ond passports were checked. . , .
. . . You osk whether things hod quieted down much!! I don't believe thot they ore having quite os many demonstrotions os be- fore, although the tension is still os strong. I imogine thot you reed or heord obout the Yugoslavs shooting down two American plones. W ell . . . other then that end 11 few other minor incidents, so for, things hove quieted down o lot. But quite 11 lot could hove hoppened since I left, but I hope not.
