Mr. Lamar really hit the jackpot
w+n his party for the 130 lb. football eam. And they deserved it being cond in the city league. They had private party all their own-sepa- ~·e table and everything in the din-

Glasses were spilled, cake was
.ropped, (see cut) but everyone went away full. With twenty boys and I ur cakes, it wasn't hard to do.
The waiters were at their best. It ~Ked as if the team were in some 3v'sh cafe, with champagne flowing • around. Needless to say, Mr. La- M.ar is a well-liked man around here.

Let'm Eat More Cake
"All English V and VI boys meet in my apartment immediately after supper tonight," announced Dr. Bar- ton.
We came, we saw, we ate, and ate- and ate. Mrs. Barton had pre- pared a feast for kings. Punch. (non- alcoholic) that was as tangy as g1nger, and the pies were about the best we'd ever seen. One person even said it was better than his mother fixed. Creamy chocolate and fluffy lemon tarts, and the lightest pastry ever made. Pea nut s and mints rounded off the edges of the party very well. (Of course, i t was with

Sunday, February 25th, six new and lusty voices were heard in the choir. These "choir-boys" with rea l vocal apparatus of nightingales were dis- covered to be Bob McDowell, Fronk Farmer, Ben Parrott, Gibby Roe, George Whitfield and one new boy, Dave Wilson. Nice going men.
New History Master
Shortly after midterm we received our eagerly-awaited history ma ste r. He turned out to be Mr. Donald Bartol o f Hazelton , Pennsylvania . Be- fore entering the service in 1943 he spent two years at Lafayette Col- lege, Easton, Pa. He remained in the service until 1945. Two years later Mr. Bartol entered the University of Scranton to complete his education. He graduated in 1950 after pursuing an M.A. in Education. This latter achievement rounded out his full academic career.
Needless to say, Mr. Bartol was received with open arms, as his role is an indispensable one. He teaches History I, II, Ill, and IV. His handling of the co mpulsory athletic program has caused quite a bit of comment too. Many boys eagerly await his call for track practice for he is going to be our track coach this spring.
So, Mr. Bartol, the Meteor extends its warmest reception to you. You fit the bill admirably.
