Lloyd Glenn
Another Glasgow, Va. boy also
came at the first of the year. Lloyd has made a real name for himself too. He is the newest elected Presi- dent of the JV-Ciub. Lloyd lettered in JV football doing very well on the playing field. He also plans to go to V.M.I. next year to extend his edu- cation. It's going to be tough with you l loyd, we know you will do well.

In his past three years he has made a record that anybody could be proud of. He has been one of the main players for the I30 lb. football team and this year was "all city" guard. He has been out for track ever since his first year, winning his "letter" in the "440" this year, and is now a member of the "V" Club (still a bit sore, we might add). He has also done well in his studies, having been on the studyout list almost con- tinuously since his arrival. Needless to say he has been one of Mr. Gan- naway's right hand men at the store. He acquired his letter as basketball manager and joined the "V" club during the bleak Lynchburg winter. "Abe" is coming back next year to join the lengthening list of seniors and we are looking forward to having the great guy with us again.

Sonny has been roaming the halls o f V .E.S . f o r f o u r y e a r s now and doubtless to say has made quite a name for himself. Aside from being a counselor, and a mighty good one at that, he has won 5 varsity letters, 2 each in football and track, and one in basketball. He is Vice-president of the "V" Club which proves how popular this guy is. Paddock (which is still another of his nicknames) does a masterful job o f keeping West
Third Main, of which
in line. But this guy has
than athletic !lbility and personality, he's got brains too. His marks con· stantly hover around the ninety mark. Sonny has got one more year at the dear ole 140 acres and much is ex· pected of him.

Phil is another one of the boys that dropped by here for a little visit three years ago and got caught. He is the son of an alumnus from Hampton, Virginia. Phil has been the moving spirit of the 130 lb. foot- ball team for three years, winning a J. V. letter each year and also winning in '49 an award for sports- manship and in '50 the place of "all city" quarterback. He has also been the captain of the 130 lb. team two years. Football hasn't been his only sport either as he has won his J. V. letter in basketball and track and is now on the Varsity Track Team. Let's not forget that he is on the Meteor Staff (God bless him.) We are really expecting a lot from you next year, P h i l ~b o y .

Nick hit the old place two years ago and has made a real record for himself since. To start with he is the son of an alumnus. He has won his letters in football and track and is a member of the "V" Club. His record in track is really a great one, having netted 51 points this last season, done in only four meets. Nick has really struck up the right note with the boys and he has been a counselor for a year now. He hasn't done a bad job in his studies either. We don't know what makes this guy tick, but we are expecting real things from him next year.
