Oct. 1--Jimmy Farinholt starts off the month by learning the 3 great commandments of his roommate Brant Snavely,-one each day.

wisdom.

Tues. 23-Books and "lewd" words fly through the calm air of study hall as "Minny" keeps his usual order.
The Old Astrologer
Whap -thump- ouch! "Damn
those acorns," cries the old star gazer, heaving an apple in the general di- rection of the miscreants. The acorns continue to fly as do the demerits.
The old man now sees that the school is getting into the swing of things. This month he thinks that he had better pay a personal visit, so he jumps into his Rocket Four, with the non-slip, two-tone sunvisor, and blasts off towards the 160.
Landing on the athletic field, he steps out only to be stomped into a cleat-hole by a mob chasing "Tack" Jones. It seems that "Tock" had lost his pants and all his dignity along with them. Thus is the fate of the insti- gator.
He starts to walk over to the build- ings, but he doesn't get far because he trips and falls over a chrome- plated mudflap. Sadly he knows that "Hollywood" Wills has been tackled again in football practice.
Walking by West Dorm he notes that the Second West monsters are entertaining at home again as bodies and heads fly out of the windows. One of the bodies strangely re- sembles "Tarzan" Schilling.
Up on Main Dorm "Squirrelhound" Magill went into a profound funk when he heard the squirrel that he chased out of his house was not in season. It was almost as bad as the time some one told him all cider in school was to be given the "breath" test. It wasn't ihe cider he was worried about, but the forty year old Scotch in the bock of his closet.
Turning to the future he sees the little gym rockin' with W aldo. Could it be a dance Marathon? No, it is only "Twinkle Toes" Heyward cutting around the floor.
Haynesworth is at the dance tak- ing some kind of poll. He walks up to "Hot Daug" Bartol and his girl and says something to Don. Said Don is seen to slip through a crock in the floor.
The Old Astrologer just now re- ceives a report on Blair Farinholt. It reads: "Reason for date-Sam Peir- son, reason for touchdowns-Dot Peirson." What powers has this wom- an?
Due to some strange quality of the refreshments acquired from some alumni the Old Astrologer is a bit
