NORFOLK
After two successive defeats, the Bishops righted themselves with a 25-0 victory over a game but out- dcmed Norfolk Academy team.
Tay Byrum was very instrumental in this victory. He passed for one score and set up another with dashes of 38 yards and 16 yards.
The first Bishop touchdown came at the end of an 83-yard drive. Bootie Cranz went the last four yards with a pitch out.
Just before the half, a Cranz to Dillard pass was good for 30 yards and another touchdown. With Jami- son's point after, the score read 13-0 at intermission.
Frank Craighill bolted over from the one to cap a 45-yard march half woy through the third quarter.
Later Craighill intercepted a Nor- folk pass and sped 52 yards to the Norfolk 31-yard line. Two plays later Byrum flipped a 30-yarder to Dillard for the last score.

E. H. S.
Playing before a large homecom- ing crowd, the Bishops were battered 41-0 by a strong Episcopal High School team.
It seemed that the Bishops could do no right and the Maroons no wrong.
Striking like lightning, the invaders grabbed a 21-0 first quarter lead. Bruce Pinehart galloped I0 yards for the initial tally. Then he broke, lost ogain, this time for 65 yards and another T.D. The quarter's other score was the result of a two-yard smash by Hunter Faulconer.
In the second quarter E. H. S. en- larged their lead to 35-0 by virtue of touchdowns by Bob Cathcart and Bud Billups.
E. H . played second and third stringers and mMaged to add but one more tally. It came on a nine-yard run off
tackle by Midyette.
The Bishops never stopped trying but they were plagued throughout the afternoon by fumbles and inter-
cepted passes.

FISHBURNE
The week after the Woodberry game, the Bishops took on powerful Fishburne. They gave the visitors a lot better game than the 33-6 indi- cated.
The first Fishburne score came on a 24-yard run by fullback Testanti. It came after the Cadets had recov- ered a Bishop fumble on the V. E. S. 39-yard line.
After the touchdown the Bishops came back with a drive to th13 Fish- burne 28 which was stalled by an intercepted pass.
Midway through the second pe- riod, Testanti took off on a 19-yard touchdown jaunt to make the score
14-0 at half.
In the second half, Eanes got into
the scoring act. After a bad bounce on a punt had put the Bishops in a hole, he scored from the 16. At the beginning of the fourth quarter he scored from the four after making several long runs.
The Bishops, not to be denied some consolation , started a touch- down drive from their 29. A Cranz to Dillard pass covered 30 yards. Then with Cranz and Steve Cowper doing most of the work, the ball was moved to the two-yard line. Cowper then plunged over for the score.
The final Fishburne t ouchdown came on a 37-yard pass play, Eanes to Roberts.
WOODBERRY
Taking advantage of numerous of- fensive mistakes by the Bishops, the Woodberry Tigers rolled to a 41-7 victory.
In the first period the home team scored twice. Bobby Street went over from the two and able Brang plunged four yards.
In the second quarter Street went 52 yards with a lateral for the third score. Cunningham also went over from the four to end a 54-yard drive.
The third quarter saw the Tigers add more points. Durrette passed to Allen for 24 yards and a touchdown and Woodberry tackled Bootie Cranz in the Bishop end zone.
The last Woodberry tally came on
a
fourth quarter.

The Bishops' touchdown counted by Cranz who fell on his own fumble in the end zone after a 53-yard drive.
The Bishops looked like a different team from the one which had been licked by Woodberry so decisively. They faced the 200-pound line and a powerful backfield of the Cadets and held to two T.D.s in the first half.
