The Alumni assembled in the din- ing room at one o'clock. Dr. Barton welcomed the guests and Mr. Banks was limited to two minutes. He did not usc all the time allotted. Every- body enjoyed the luncheon and some alumni enjoyed smoking in the dining room for the first time.
Mr. Gannaway reported on the finances of the association: Invested in bank stock, $4,436.00, from which there is an annual income of $17S.OO; cash on hand and in the bank, $1 ,326.36, which will be invested soon. The purpose of this money is to help some alumnus send his boy to V. E. S. We hope the fund will continue to grow.
It is not too late to contribute. All alumni who enjoy getting the Meteor should, at least, send in two dollars as alumni dues.
The new officers for the next year are: President, Dr. Edwin A. Penick, Jr., of the faculty of Randolph-Ma- con Woman's College, and Dr. Law- rence F. London of the University of No rth Carolina.
The meeting adjourned to the front steps of the main building where a picture was made.
