The Elmer Irving Carruthers Scholar-Athlete M e d a I pre- sented annually by Thomas M. Carruthers (1920) in honor of his brother (1920) who wos lost in the Southwest Pacific, was awarded to Leighton Parks Roper, Jr., of Norfolk, Vir- g1n1a.
The Big Brother Prize of Fifty Dollars is awarded annually by D r . D r a k e P r i t c h e t t ( 19 3 3 ) i n honor of his Big Brother, James Ira Pritchett, Ill ( 1930), de- ceased, who won the prize when a student at V. E. S.
