FRANK SPRUILL HARRISON Rocky Mount, N. C. (Blackbird Land)
Last year Frank came to V.E.S, and in nine months he earned the respect and admiration of all who came to know him. Perhaps the best proof of this lies in the fact that he was one of three boys elected to the counselor body who had been at school for only one session. Other laudable proof is that he was selected to reside in the new dorm, where he can help other beginners.
Last year Frank played football in the fall and was a starter on the vars- ity basketball team. This year he will play basketball and tennis. As for ambition, Frank hopes someday to become the exalted head of Sheep Club "International. In this capacity he will be able to reach the intel- lectually deserted through his travels and speeches.
Frank has plans to attend the Uni- versity of North Carolina and to study business administration.
LAWSON TURNER Little Rock, Arkansas
Two years ago Lawson ascended to Virginia and Lynchburg's Va. Episco· pal School. Two full years, and our society hasn't been able to rid him of his "rituals." On the contrary many of his ideas on life hove changed us.
Lawson, this year a counselor, has not only had profound effects on dorm life, b u t has also dominated Joh nson Field. In winning a letter each season in both track and foot-
ball, he has accomplished many rec· ord performances. Running with his knees up to his shoulders, Lawson re· turned an opening kickoff ninety-four yards for a touchdown last year. He will b e running in t h e halfback slot this year. In track Lawson has set both state and school records in the high and low hurdles.
Lawson's ambition is the University of Arkansas, where he plans to major in industrial engineering. If the un- foreseen should happen and he doesn't become a Razorback, he hopes to attend the University of Virginia .
