MICHAEL ALEXANDER AGELASTO II VIRGINIA BEACH, V A.
Coming to VES as a rebel from London Bridge, Mike sees the world cynically through his two-way mirror. He prides himself in recognizing his faults, and he intends to do nothing about them. Practicing this policy of introversion, Agge has always tried to get the most out of the little he has. This attitude, combined with his stubborn idea of altruisĀ· tic benefaction has become his philosophical outlook.
The Agelastic Ideal can be seen as having been embodied in his three years at VES. Ranking first, academically, in his junior class - ironically enough, he had a verbal score of less than 500 on his SAT; yet he has proven the theory that one can study for college boards. He later improved his score by 150 points.
During his stay, Agge has participated in cross-country, track, and soccer; he is a member of the Monogram Club. Having applied to Virginia, Columbia, and Yale, he hopes to major in a social science or in journalism.
