Hard Practice And Imagination Mark Glee Club
The Choir-Glee Club, again directed by Mr. Blake, carried on the fine tradition it has built up over the past few years. The addition of many different musical works, such as religious pieces and show tune medleys, provided a varied and more interesting program for Glee Club members. The Glee Club utilized only two forty-minute practice sessions each week, but the quality of their performances,
nevertheless, rivalled professionalism. The organization of a double quartet, the formation of a folk trio, and the golden solo voice of Parker Lumpkin were also enlightening aspects of a thoroughly successful season.
Choirmaster Norman Blake shows the tenors how to reach an impossible note with a great deal of ease and poise.
Basses, Hill Cassell, Sam Guerin, Casey Dorenbusch, make the most of a Monday evening rehearsal. A great deal of time and effort was spent during each session by every member of the club.
