Graduation day has come, and will be gone. As we look upon that day, it is to us the transition from boyhood to manhood, the change from the world we know to a world that will present us with many chal- lenges. We graduate not only from our grade level in school, but also from a microcosm, a representation of the world on a smaller scale. We graduate not only to college, but also to a world where we will live as individuals, as independent citizens.
We look back to the years we spent here, its joys and sadnesses, its smooth as well as rough times, and gain experience by them. Yet we also look ahead, to the years of college and those beyond that will mark our lives as adults. We look ahead with promise in our hearts, anticipation in our spirits, and hopes for the future.
