Each year at Virginia Episcopal School, during the Spring Par- ents' Weekend, the chapel is the scene of the annual Cum Laude induction . The Cum Laude , formed in 1906, is a nation-wide honor society that recognizes those juniors and seniors who maintain an average of ninety per- cent or better for at least two years in private schools with strong academic programs. The VES chapter was formed in 1977, with Mr. Victor Kehrer as its President.
The newest members of the soci- ety are Carter Kemper, Eric Boyer, Randy Meador and John Sullivan, all from the class of 1980.
