The School's Grading System
1. All student work will be classified in one of five categories:
A *Honors (90-100): Mastery of material and level of achieve- ment - excellent; ideas expressed clearly with notable accuracy; consistent fulfillment of assignments; evident synthesis of material and attention to detail.
B Above Average (80-89): Work reflects mastery of content, clar- ity in its expression; limited flaws in execution; evidence of consis- tent outside preparation.
C Average (70-79): Work shows limited understanding; flaws in execution/expression; sporadic outside preparation.
D Passing (60-69): Work is marginally competent; significant lim- its of understanding; frequent inaccuracies,in content and expres- sion; little evidence of outside study/review.
E Failing (0-59): Consistent and major limitations of understand- ing; little/no evidence of grasp of basic material; little/no evidence of outside work/preparation or of attention to detail.
