Anyone who has ever walked into the gym, dreading afternoon practice from the bottom of his heart, knows what an instant lift Robert Thomas and Lawrence Haythe can be. Robert and Lawrence both embody the VES tradi- tions of politeness and subtle class. You can always count on their friendly hellos and qui- et encouragement- ''Y'all go gettum, now" or "How did y'all do?'' Robert and Law- rence are more than just ''the
guys in the gym." They have been here for generations of families; some of the students have told us that their fathers remember them from when they were students. It is this kind of commitment that makes these two so special! We hope you both enjoy the remainder of your years here, and we've enjoyed knowing you.
