With only three starters return- ing from the 1990 squad, expe- rience was a key factor as the season started. The hitting, field- ing, and throwing did improve. With seven returning starters, the prospects are brighter for the 1992 season.
Catcher Heath Marks led the team in hitting with a .359 average and was selected as MVP by his teammates. Co-Captain Chris Pol- lard received All-Prep honors as Shortstop. The Spirit and Sports- manship Award was presented to
·Will Smiley; the Coaches' Award to Trip Train; and the Golden Glove Award to Chris Pollard.
