We dance together, united
His feet gl!de beneath us
In springy e&dence &a we
Float e.cross the ground.
He is ghostl!ke, a foggy specter Whose hooves be.rely pat the ee.rth. I am one with flowing mercury,
I know the del!ght of angels.
The rhythmic fluttering of his nostr!ls,
Crispy footeteps stirring the leaves,
Heated muscles wa.rm my hands
A s the October &!r tones my fe.ce a.nd
Dries my mouth &a we move through it, Exh!larating &a I inh&!e.
My eyes grow glossy from the air
But I see the distance!
Leg to ha.nd, close the seat, keep the rhythm,
Leg off the ground-
Energy, balance, and motion
He pours over through the funnel
Of my leg and ha.nd.
Landing is flopping on a feather bed,
Effortlessly oe.nter!ng away is a.n honor!
The playful toss of his he&d
Unfurls my sm!le, he turns my pat into
An excuse for the.t d&!sy cutting cadence
And f!n&!ly a stately w&!k from deep !n his
Thick gray quarters.
Hie sculpted ee.rs prick at the sound of my laughter And I shut my eyes to feel &II of the happ!nees. -JB8
