Mom and Dad this has been the hardest year for all of us and I know that it will get better next year. I f they had not sent me to YES and done so much for me then I would not be as well off as I am now. I would also like to thank the senior class for probably the best year I have had at YES. Ace and Scott, I will always remember the nights we sat in Ace's room and watched a movie and talked about all the things that were going on in our lives. John Hunter you are probably the greatest sophomoreIhaveeverymeet. AlsoJHstayoutoftrouble, nomore tobaccos. I would also like to thank Mr. Ross for being the best advisor that a student could have. Mr. Maught thanks for the best sport season that I have every had, and thanks for listening to my problems with my family, and encouraging me to not give up and just stick it out. Mrs. Grattan thanks for everything that you have done to help keep me straight. Mr. Anderson thanks for always making me laugh when I am in the worst mood. I have no idea how I could have done it without all of ya' ll.

I would like to thank VES for my making my two years at the school fun, exciting, and quite memorable. First of all, I couldn't have asked for better teachers. Memories include hour and a half discussions about fog in Hinker's class, having related rates explained over and over by Mrs. Berry, listening to music on Nick's computer in Hopkins' (Welcome to Miami), and Zach and helping me find a way to mess up the results in every lab we did together in Biology. There was also APUSH, where there was seldom time to "digress," enjoying baked goods and countless translations both years of Latin (two different teachers), and also receiving daily updates about the Screaming Eagles in Leake's class while everyone was doing homework for an.other subject. And of course there was Glee Club. Stuart, stop freaking out, we'll never be perfectly in tune...
Two years of cross country was quite fun, especially junior year with the select special ed guys and Big Rgiving us ice-cream after a grueling two-mile jog. Track, I have to say more than anything, was really, really hard, but I've got to give it to you Hincker, you can make us run fast.
Swim team was a great experience. I thank Dr. Vogel for getting me to join, and Mrs. Bright, Mrs. Spurlock (ok, so I'm not a butterflyer), and Mr. Watson for helping me along the way. Practice was fun, even though I cou ldn't lift my arms afterwards, and I'll always take pride in literally going the extra lap at the Prep League Meet in the five hundred.
And of course there's the cycling team, my favorite sport. Both years were a blast, and I have to brag about the grueling 1st place finish in the Tour de Madison and pounding up Thunder Ridge. One of these days I'll be able to out sprint you, Mr. Ponder, in the meantime, I'll enjoy using your draft. One more thing, Tal, remember to look up ...
Lastly to my friends at VES, I'll miss ya'll. Someone please buy Colby Proffit at the counselor auction next year and dress him up as Captain Planet (might as well make sing the theme song too). Sorry Colby, it'll just be too funny to pass up. And farewell to Tom, Jeremy, Zach, Nick (The Nick and Sam Marathon), Martin, Stuart, Penn, Morgan, Christian, Meagan, Bryant, Will Huffman, Giuliano, Susannah, Tiffany (remember Face Book is an addiction), Cummings, Byron, the Parker Brothers, Tray, Barrett (coolest clothes ever) and the others I can't think of at I2:30am. I appreciated having y'all around to lighten up the days.
