beLady Bishops used their athletic guard play and imposing front line to achieve a 16-13 record. VES advanced to the semifinals o f the Blue Ridge Conference and state tournaments. The team went 5-3 in conference play as junior forward Jessica Watkins earned All-State honors. The team looks forward to another successful year next year as it returns a great core ofplayers including Jessica Watkins and fellow rising senior Kori Penick.
