Nostalgia, pure joy, sweetness, bitterness, and so many more adjectives come to mind. While being in High School for five years, is not ideal, I'm glad I've gotten to experience the experiences VES' has to offer. I would have never traveled to Kenya, never debated in the National Organization of American States building in Washington DC with Model OAS, never took my backpack journalism class with National Student Leadership Conference, and never got to attend a legacy breakfast on a special Saturday at eight in the morning. The biggest "never," is the friendships that wouldn't exist now. Shoutouts are necessary indeed. First, to my witty and caring advisor, Mr. Knebel. I wont forget the phrase, "Matt, let's take a walk," and round beds will always be embedded as a pimp symbol in my mind. Thank you for helping me think outside the box. To your doctor of a wife, Larissa Knebel, thank you for showing true passion in vour job and providing ample amount of help to me throughout this year. Mrs. Burruss, you managed to get me to laugh while learning history, and thank you for writing one of my college letters of recommendation. A special thanks to Ms. Gratten, for always being there for me, being reasonable, and for the casual conversations when we just discussed our lives. To Mr. Winston for being a very supportive and comical tennis coach, knowing when to talk to me on court, and when to let me figure things out. Mrs. Csatlos, thank you for dealing with me in my crazy college process, applying all over the country. The students deserve much praise as well. Felicity Martin, never change obviously, use your knowledge for the greater good, and stay happy.
A special thanks again to VES for getting me to think deeper in the classroom, on the sports fields, and in everyday life.
