The Brian R. Walsh Science Building houses Shore’s Upper School science labs and classrooms, the Library and Makerspace, Student Support Services, and the Head of School’s office, and serves as the main entrance to the Upper School.

The Makerspace is chock-full of supplies such as robotics kits, circuitry, wheels, motors, pulleys, battery packs, and gears, and it’s stocked with tools and materials to allow investigations into STEM concepts through hydraulics, crane-building, 3D printing, and much more.

Shore’s Library is located in the center of campus so all members of our community can access this expansive resource. Lower School students have Library class every week, and they enjoy a large, dedicated collection of books that they can check out and take home. Upper School students use this space for research, group meetings, and quiet study.

Young students learn to appreciate the beauty and wonder of the natural world through hands-on explorations as both artists and scientists, and through experimentation with a variety of media, from clay, paint, and wood to iPads and robots.
