Greenwood Annual Report 2017/2018 9 The past year was our second in our new facilities. As a community, we have grown into the space and have seen our students thrive through increased programming and community engagement. Allan Hardy completed his 10th year as Principal of Greenwood and we celebrated his impactful career in the spring and at Celebration Day in June. We wish Al all the best as he embarks on his next chapter. We welcomed one new family into our Wernham-West Society, which celebrates and thanks families who have given $100,000 or more to the school through their cumulative giving. As a school, we saw our Annual Appeal experience tremendous success thanks to our generous and highly engaged parent community. The school raised just shy of $500,000; a significant portion of those funds was allocated to the design and development of Greenwood’s new Innovation Lab. The parents of the 2018 graduating class generously donated to the creation of the Class of 2018 Fund; this fund will support financial assistance for future generations of Greenwood students. Greenwood is able to enhance existing programming and launch new initiatives as a direct result of the generosity of our current and past families, grandparents, alumni and staff. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for making a significant difference in the lives of our future leaders, community advocates and innovators. Each June, we graduate a class of students who then begin their next chapters as proud Greenwood alumni. In my role I have the extreme pleasure of following their accomplishments. Time and time again, I am reminded through their stories of the great work we at Greenwood have done in helping to build the foundation for their successes. Much of this would not be possible without your ongoing generosity and willingness to give back. Thank you for making such a profound impact on the lives of our students.
