Seedbox
Ludwigia alternifolia

This plant belongs to the same family as the evening primrose (Onagracea). The flower is only about a half inch in diameter and has four yellow petals with four offset sepals showing between them. The leaves are thin and narrow, and they are pointed at both ends. Seedbox gets its name from the distinctive fruits which are cubical with pores at the top. This plant grows in swamps and damp soil and is a typical wetland plant.
