Camps of Virginia." His talk was as enjoyable as it was instructive, for, besides acquainting us with the Yarions con- ditions and statistics in the numerous camps of Virginia, he told us some of his personal experiences in these canton- ments. l\Ir. Rogers also impressed upon us the ideal of
patriotism exemplified through service and prayer. He showed us that our duty iu this war was to share in the ].iberty Loan and to buy "·ar Savings • tamps, for, accord· ing to lrr. Rogers, "any boy who has these may feel that he bas a very real interest in the \Yar." He then showed us the n~efulncss of prayer on the boys' part. IJ e said : "Y ou can
pray and in lll'U):er h:n·e as real an influence on the outcome of the war as on the first-line trench, for prayer is the greatest tool any man may u~e; it i-3 more effective than the bayonet, and the bayo11ct is right effective." He adds: "fnclulge yom·selves in pleasures as heretofore, but remember that the
