It was decided last fall to substitute intramural for inter- scholastic basket-ball in the school on account of the general incxpedie1~cy of the latter. TnE )fETEOn made a proposi- tion whereb:· a league was to be organized and run under her supervision. and offered a dinner in town to the winner. This plan was adopted : Eight teams were cho,en b;v eight elected captain,, a schedule of tweuty-fonr games was made out, and the fir:;t few games played when a joint attack of measles and "ennui" broke things up. Although the former was unavoidabh, the latter might well be termed "quitting," and he who quit:; is worse than he who hesitate$.
