Our other Jiendersonvi1le representative, Craik Speed, is ·now leading a life of pleasure at N. C. State. G. H. Browne,
'20, is also at this institution.
Lynch and W. \Y. Smith are rooming together at the Uni- versity of North Carolina. Whitaker, '1!>, and Charles and B. \V. Johnson, both '20, are also studying at the same insti- tution. "Bill" and "Whit" paid us their nsual autumnal call late in September. Come again.
Last year's valedictorian, W. K. Cuthbert, has forsaken the Old Dominion to take a course in the College of Commerce at the University of California. He writes glowing accounts of the co-eds, the football team, and life in general. Lucky Smokey!
Francis Oraighill, of last year's class, has entered the Uni- versity of the South. R. E. MacBlain, '19, is now in his third year there.
Richmond Minor is the only boy from last year to go to the University of Virginia. Belote, '20, after a break of a year, has aJso taken up work there. Both of these men, to- gether with W. E. J ol).llSOnJ '20, T. Carruthers, '20, and Ben Caskie, '18, have been welcome visitors at different times re- cently. After a successful teaching experience at St. Chris- topher's School, L. :u. Abbot, '17', our first graduate, has en- tered the Law Department at Virginia. Wilcox Ruffin, '18, plans to attend Harvard llfedical School upon the completion of his course next June.
