Among the large squad that reported for the first basket- ball practice on December 1st, were Capt. Brown, Terry and Loth, of last year's team. \Yith the exception of these, the
squad was on the whole somewhat handicapped by the lack of experience but from the very first day everyone worked with a will and it was not long before Coach Branham had the team in fairly good working order.
We had a practice game on December 11th with a quint from Lyuchbnrg, made up chiefly of ex-prep school stars. Although the visitors defeated us by the close score of 30 to 28, Coach Branham seemed well pleased with the work of
the team.
