And so for this :final term let us all try to be better friends and more considerate companions in order thRt no one may leave, whether for good or merely for the holidays, with a grudge against any of his comrades. Try to under- stand all that this period of life holds, how much it means and then get the most out of it by doing your best for others. If
this spirit is fostered, undoubtedly in future life V. E. S. will be remembered with the happiest memories, while thoughtless words, slights, or selfishness may bring bitter con- sequences. Let us make the remaining weeks the best of all, in work, in athletics, in spirit, and in good fellowship. In the coming exams, see if you can't surpass all your former marks for it certainly docs pay in the end. It is a common fault to slack down as the finish approaches bnt let V. E. S.

Take a brace and be able to enjoy the holidays with a knowledge that you have clone your best for yourself and others. It is the latter particularly that we wish to em- phasize, for such trifling things can have a great influence on the tone of a school. A short answer, o~mean sarcasm, can make a boy dissatisfied and depressed for homs, while even the smallest acts of kindness are appreciated tremendously.
Therefore, let's all end up with a clean slate and good feeling for everyone. f).
