The basket-ball season closed with a few minor games par- ticipated in by the Junior and :Midget teams against teams from Lynchburg.
On :March 1st a large track squad 1·eported to practice under Mr. Tucker's dhections. Of last year's letter men there are Wilson, S., Brown, G. S., Buckner, and Terry, cap- tain of this year's team. These men, added to good prospects in the new material, seem to justify the coach's hope of a suc- cessful season. The schedule for the season is as follows:

TRACK :MEET A T WOODBERRY FOREST
On April 11th a triangular track meet '"'s held at \Vood- berry Forest between Woodbcny, Stuyvesant, and Y. E. S., the former winning with 76% points. V. E. S. was second with 29 points and Stuyvesant third, with 112;(1 points. Erman was the individual point winner, while Buckner led in points for us. While Woodberry showed an all-round superiority in most events, our work in the distance races - especially that of Adkins-was an outstanding feature of the meet.
The results of the events follow:
100 yard dash-Mountcastlc, W.-F., first; time 10 2-4 seconds; Tribue, W.-F., second; Deford, Stuyvesant, third.
