Something of a massacre occmred in the Bm·ksdale Gym· nasium when, on February 21, we o,·crwltelmcd the haskct- ball tcnm from the Dan\'ille :Military Institute to the hmc of Gl to 23. Tho game was rather slow due to its oncsidcdncss. Right at the start our team clid not seem to be fully 011 the alct t and we did not b<-gin our scoring until IIolucr for D. :\1. I. had scored one point by a foul. This inspired our tos:>crs and from then on the sotmd of "swish" arose from our cnu of the floor with monotonous frequency. The end of the first half found the visitors buried under an avalanche of 30 points to their own meager 5.
