On February 28, V. E. S. met Lynchburg High School in thc Barksdale Gymnasium and for the second time defeated them. Tl1e score was 24 to 16. As in our first g!Uue with Lj,t<.'lthurg the floor works of the V. E. R quintet was uotice- ably superior to that of the I-j·uchhurg five.
Due to this ability of ours to absolutely stop and re,·ersc play:; headed for the Lynchburg goal the end of the first period found us leading Lynchburg b~· a sco1·e of 13 to 5. In the last period, howcvc1·, the lligh School mndc n splcndia ra1ly and the game from there on became "nip and tuck." Nearly every play was fought to a stand-still and th(' goals that were made were done so through hard fighting, skillful manoeuvering and risky shots.
