On Jnue !>th, The J...anteru Tea Room wns tliC' scene of tho Senior Class Banquet, the first of its kind ever <'ujo,ved by a V. E. S. groltp of graduates. The evening \\"US ideal, the banquet itself was luxuriO\tR, while the favors and various impromptu speeches produced a world of mirth and laughter. The Class of '23 agreed that there should be a reunion some- time in the future.
Sunday, .Tune lOth, Reverend Gibson, of Lexington, gave the Baccalaureate Sermon. His text was the powerful phrase: "From Strength to Strength." This idea was brought out very forcefully and a plea that our lives become better and hotter was strongly presented. Harrison Christian, '19,
delighted us with a solo, and again at tho evening service :Mrs. Kinnear gave a beautiful solo.
The finals were graced by two dances this year. A delight- ful little impromtu dance was held Juno 9th. The Final Ball took place on the night of the following 1\Ionday. Both were a great success. The music of the latter was furnished by
the Olympians, of X orfolk.
Spencer McCulloch was here for a short call in early J unc. For the time being he will leave the University of Virginia and will gain experience as a reporter with the Times-Dis- patch, of Richmond.
