On October 23, the V. E. S. eleven
lost a rough game to Hargrave by the score of 6-0. The game was stag- ed at Chatham.
H argrave made their only touch- down as a result of two long runs in the last quarter by Scott, the Har-
grave quarter-back. Twice during the first half V. E. S. seriously threatened the enemy's goal, but even the rooting of the C. E. I girls failed to give the team the punch to carry the ball over.
