Small Gets Two-pointer
The V. E. S. midget basketball
team made itself a strong contender for the City League championship by beating the Lynchburg High mid- gets on February the fifth, and a week later overcoming the Mohawks by a 31-11 score. Both games were
played on the Senior High floor.
In L. H. S., Coach Bond's men faced some hard opposition, fina,lly
winning tile nip and tuck struggle by a five point margin. Wilson, C., Hobbs and Giles accounted for all
tile points. Cook and Carr, at guards, played well.
