LYNCHBURG, VA., Jan. 27.-For the first time in several years the
Virginia Episcopal School quintet sent Woodberry Forest home de- feated. Sparked by Charlie Schoew,
the Bishops rolled up 28 points to the visitors' 21.
The teams played on an even basis during the first two quarters, the score climbing up to 19 all a.t the end of the third quarter.
Charlie Schoew began the scoring in the last quarter, laying up two baskets in quick succession. W ood-
berry failed to overcome the margin set by Schoew. The Forest team tal- lied once in the final period, Smith making the goal. In a few seconds V. E. S. had rung up seven more
points; Schoew made another field goal; Stalnaker a free throw, and Simmons Andrews on a pass from

Old Stars Return to Junior, Boys', and Midget T earns to Spark Little Bishops
The Junior teams of V. E. S. have been practicing steadily since the holidays and have had two games.
The Midgets, fourteen and under team, lost their opening game be- cause of an off-day and a large court. However, the Juniors, eigh-
teen and under, were more success- ful in their initial encounter. They drubbed their opponents to the tune of a 35-14 score.
In recent days the Junior teams were strengthened when Coach Bond narrowed his squad down to
15 players.
The Boys' team have yet to play
a game. They won the championship in their division, and the prospect for the coming year is particularly bright, since most of the squad and all of the stars are still eligible for
