THE METEOR
GREEN TEAM DEVELOPS FAST TO BREAK EVEN
DESPITE BAD FINISH
With only three previous letter- men. aptain Paul immons, Ned Mitchell. and Cullen W alker, the Bishop cindermen ended the season
with only a fair "batting average." The team took one dual meet, and one first and one third in two tri- angular meets.
In addition to the three returning lettermen, there were fourteen new- comers who made monograms : Jack W eston and Jack Camblos, 880 ;

Saints of St. Christopher, 59-58. Although failing to set a new rec-
ord, the high spot of the eason was
Weston's tally of first in the 880-
yard run at the State Meet. This the high jump, but the opposition
Saints captured a 59-58 victory today over the visiting harriers.
Joyner, our star
miler, failed to tally in the quarter.
Fred Carrington hurled his jave- lin 151 feet, 6 inches. The prospects <;eemed brighter as J hn ·w ood hit the pay dirt by putting the shot 40
feet, 4~ inches for first place. Even with these successes the Bishops seemed doomed to defeat until our distance men lessened the gap con- 'iiderably by taking every place in
the 880 and also in the mile. Jack Weston easily took first place in the 880, and Hall Partrick took first in
