Episcopal High 28, V. E. S. 23
Feb. 19-A smooth- \\'Orkin6 Episcopal Iligh School quintet turned back a trip-weary V. E. S. five 28 to 23 at Alexandria today.
Bishop Captain William Gallop led the scoring for both teams with 13 points. Burnett tallied 7 points to grab scoring honors for the home team. Graham Koch of V. E. S., turned in a great defensive game, as he repeatedly took rebounds and broke up enemy plays.
The Bishops started off very slowly. At the half E. H. S. led 14 to 6 and it appeared that the I\Iaroon and Black had things tucked away. But at the start of the third quarter the Garnet five was a changed crew of basketball players. Led by Gallop, whose hook shots didn't miss, the Bishops hacked away the Episcopal lead throughout the final quarter. !low- ever the rally was too late in the contest, so E. 11. S. was able to hold its first half lead.
