The schedule followed in the later tmtlatlon was slightly different fro'm the normal procedure. Be- cause of the smallness of the num- ber of initiates. it was decided to hold the initiation Friday night so as not to interfere with the week- end activities of the club members.
After a few triYialiti'es Fridav a f t e r n o o n t h e t w o " l u c k y guys~· were taken off for their clandes- tine adventures. Afterwards it is said thev had an aversion for sit- ting dm~n suddenly or for sitting clown at all.
At this same time two honorarv members were brought into th~ club, Dr. Barton on the Thursday be(ore the initiation and 1\fr. Wood. the basketball coach. on the night of the initiation.
Some of the boys who had been initiated after football were said to be a bit disappointed because they

A Bird's Eye View of .. Baseball
The wind blown diamO!ld nn Langhorne Field may see many a hard-fought, extra-inning tussle thi> spring, but on the other hand it may not. The baseball outlook for 1944 can be classified in no wa1 other than dubious. With only thre~ lettermen returning from last year's mediocre nine, Coach Short has had a rather tough task forming a good team to represent V. E. S. this season. But he may have '\ccom- plished this feat.
