After supper, on Nov. I, Mr. Clegg and his wife left. He decided to go in business with his father in Basset, Va. Mr. Clegg was the mar. everyone smiled to on Monday morn- ing, the bursar. He did everything from leading the scout troop to help- ing the hop committee. The Cleggs took a personal liking to everyone and were always ready to pitch in wherever needed.
But all was not sorrow in Mudville that day. Up popped Mr. H. J. Har- per, the new bursar. Mr. Harper was born in Brookneal, Va., in 1926. He attended college at Virginia Com- merce College. He spent three years in the Navy and sow plenty of action. Mr. Harper is a very likeable fellow, and is sure to make a hit at V. E. S. Glad to have you, Mr. Harper.
