Baby Bishops Win First Two Games
The Baby Bishops have remained undefeated and unscored upon after their first two games. They beat both Brookville and Amherst by the same score, 13-0.
Against Amherst, in the opener of the season, the team started off. fast. As soon as they got the ball they started a drive which e::n..jo::J with Spencer carrying the ball for a T.D. and the extra point. In the third ~"'Uarter, Spencer, aided nobly by the other members of the backfield, Braxton, Johnston and Cranz, romped over for another score. N. S. Smith, Winfree, Dulaney, Pendleton, Turner, and Deringer made up a forward wall that was hard to crack.
The game at Brookville was won in the very first quarter when Cranz threw Deringer a touchdown pass covering 40 yards. The last score came in the third quarter when John- stone returned a punt 45 yards for a T. D. Braxton threw to Deringer for the extra point.
130 Lb. Team
The tiny Bishops, coached by Don Bartol. were defeated 14-7 in their season opener. Brookville pushed across the winning T.D. late in the game. The lone V.E.S. tally came in the 2nd quarter when Ross swept end from 20 yards out. George took a Woolery pitchout for the extra point. Ed Webb, Hyer, White and Bynum all played well. W oolery was the V.E.S. standout player on both defense and offense.

A tribute must be paid to a fight- ing Bishop team, who lacking the able assistance of Joe Towe and Blair Farinholt was sparked by such out- standing pI aye r s as Stephenson, Chandler and Barber. The Bishops
held Woodberry scoreless in the first half, had a slight setback in the third quarter and came back fighting in the lost quarter.
The Headmaster's Study

for yourselves but any master in the school will gladly he lp you d o so; that is one of the purposes of our work with you. Few things would help maintain and heighten our scholastic morale and standards more than an orderly and scheduled approach to the evening's work. Try it for a while
and perhaps study-out privilege may not seem so far off.

Upon inspection of this "king" we find that it wouldn't quite be justice to call him "clear-faced," nor is his
bearing quite so regal as we are led to believe, for even from this distance it is easy enough to recognize what we laughingly call the face of Dr. Nailsinsky, the people's choice, and
