younger member of the faculty to the ef(ect that parents and the girl friends of students be allowed to visit on Sunday nights. The faculty finally voted to vote again next week on a motion referring to the subject; the motion would make it mandatory for all female guests to leave the dormitories by I0 P. M. {Incidentally, the system under consideration is a modification of that permitted at Harvard.)
Secondly, all faculty members may be required to increase their ef- ficiency as teachers by being re- quested to reduce all examinations to one question which will not take more than 15 minutes to answer. The faculty decided that deplorable ex- amination conditions had prevailed for too long; they agreed that a month's work should be reducible to a IS-minute quiz. The date for the beginning of this new procedure has not been considered.
Thirdly, dining room conditions are to be reviewed. If it is possible, students will be offered steak three times weekly, with unlimited second helpings allowed. Weiners and liver are to be removed from the existing menus; a committee was set up to consider the advisibility of allowing attendance at breakfast to be op- tional.
The faculty took under considera- tion the proposal of one of its num- ber to make mandatory the wear- ing of a V. E. S. uniform. Its proposer noted that the members of the V. E. S. community are having more and more trouble getting pickups and rides since the Lynchburg inhabitants are
imitating V. E. S. boys by wearing coots. ties, and shoes. After bitter opposition from the conservative ele- ment of the faculty, it was decided tlv"t students and faculty will adopt a 1mifo·m by which they may be, hence- forth ma:le outstanding in a crowd of Lynchburgers. The un if o r m is modeled at right by a professional underwear and uniform model.
This uniform will be worn t~chapel, to meals, and must always be worn to town. During the colder winter months, a kilt may be worn in place of the Bermuda shorts. The uniform will be chartreuse and yellow.
The wearing of this uniform will be required beginning April I, 1955.
Three honorary faculty members were elected to represent the stu- dent body at later meetings in which rules changes ore to be discussed. The new "big three" are doctors Mohr, Sargent and Houck.
In addition, the faculty announced that beer will be sold on alternate Tuesdays between midnight and 3 a. m. Canned heat will be sold on alternate Thursdays during morning Chapel.
The faculty meeting was adjourned upon the recommendation of the bust of Pallas to the effect that all future meetings concerning changes in school rules be held upon April first of each year, which is a day suited to such purposes for it is April Fools' day. This motion was defeated by a rousing shout of "Nevermore" and the meeting was dissolved in chaos.

W ith four minutes remaining in the game the Bishops were six points be- hind. Two minutes passed and the Bishops had cut the Cadets lead to three points. Then Farinholt swiped {stole) the ball and drove in for a lay up. The basket was good and the "ref's" awarded him a free throw which was good also.
W ith ninety seconds left the score was still tied. Both teams had a shot a+ the basket. Then the Bishops got the ball and went into a freeze, pla••- ir.g for the final shot.
Then with one second remaining Daughtry shot and the horn blew. The basket was good. The final score was 56 to 54. The Bishops were handi- capped by the loss of Smith in the final minutes. Shaw was high for both teams with fifteen. Farinholt followed with fourteen and Nash with ten. Travis was high for Fork Union with thirteen.
